  • This is a great program that helps the homeless and helps family's in need of food. They serve dinner 7 nights a week so that no one goes hungry. They also give dry good two times a month to help people in need.

They try. Not sure the efficiency is there. Volunteers don't seem too pleased with the population they serve. Food distribution must be eaten same day as it won't last much longer.
If you are at your bottom and have nowhere else to turn, its better than the cold hard streets.

There are good people at the bread, but not in management roles and cannot correct problems. Those in management roles fall into two categories. First category are incapable, immature and lash out in an unfair manner at any perceived slight. One sermon started with the phrase "I know some of y'all think I'm a bad person". When a sermon starts with that, it does speak volumes about the situation, it isn't good. The second category of management are those that refuse to correct the problem despite multiple complaints from multiple people over multiple years. The immature people are believed and backed up by upper management and allowed to do their damage with no consequences. The tone is set that you sit there and take it, nothing will change. If you dare to complain you will find no help or justice and there will be retaliation, just keep your trap shut or it will get worse. The choices are sit there and take it or be forced to go somewhere else. People have been forced to sit there and take it till they can find other alternatives to the bread for a meal. People have gone elsewhere at their earliest opportunity. You will see faces at other feeds that are no longer seen at the bread. I was hesitant to post this in this manner because there are still good people volunteering at the bread. But those people are shackled and can do nothing to curb the ignorant, immature behavior of those in charge. Like the patrons, good volunteers can only quit when they can no longer stand to see people mistreated and nothing is done about it. Many volunteers will come around again, but only after the ignorant and immature behavior stops. The last thing people in difficult situations need is to have what little dignity they have left to be trampled on, unfairly. My heart is heavy in having to post this. To those that are in disbelief, I say this. Go to the bread as a patron, eat there, at some point you will see it with your own eyes. I wish the bread would change, many people need the bread, but not the mistreatment.

They say they are Christians, but they rude and mean to many of the people that go to their place and the people that go to the clinic across their parking lot. They yell at people about parking that are going to other places in the parking lot. They are the reason I stop being a Christian, they should follow how my daughter is as a Christian. They are rude, mean, and they are not going by Christian values.

  • Great group that has the difficult task of caring for the poor and homeless in our area. With limited funds and an all-volunteer staff they make a difference in the lives of so many men, women and children.
