  Spiritual, quiet and peaceful place. You can get lost in God's presence here. So much history. Love to see the Franciscan brothers putting St. Francis's way of life into action.

  The artwork inside is beautiful and the gift shop splendid. It is incredible that these people were successful with building such a marvelous architecture with very simple tools.

  This is an interesting place to come visit if you are in the area. The biggest suprise for me, honestly, was seeing Abraham Lincoln's real signature on a document in an old Misson in Oceanside, CA of all places!

  As a mother, I cannot imagine how Jesus' Mom must have felt seeing her innocent son being tortured and forced to carry the cross.
  
  A reminder to us all that no pain is greater than that of Virgin Mary and our Savior Jesus.
